A Curiosity About Stress

I was at a homeopathy workshop in 2018, where there were discussions around (not only) Bladder and Kidney conditions, but also female conditions. They discussed how stress triggers cortisol (a “Fight or Flight” hormone) which steals progesterone. This contributes to PMS and painful menstruation (due to its effect on the building of our uterus lining).

There are studies which have proven that females can reduce their cortisol levels through organising and planning. Research has also proven that social bonding also reduces cortisol – allowing females to be more productive, and less ‘dramatic’.

Reflexology aids the bodies endocrine system to keep in balance.
