Foot massages are delicious, and totally worth their reputation of being relaxing, restorative and really nice to have! Therapeutic Reflexology however, takes the humble foot massage to a whole new level.
How It Works
Reflexology combines the ancient healing modalities of acupressure and reflex points in the feet and ankles to unblock chi throughout the body’s twelve meridians. This stimulates your organs through the autonomic nervous system, which in turn controls the involuntary or partially voluntary activities of your body, including heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and temperature regulation.

Not only is it a great complementary therapy, but it is also a lovely way to pamper your body, and really emphasize the TREAT in treatment.
With over 7,000 nerve endings in each foot, connected to the meridians of the body and activated through precise reflex points on the feet using specific pressure techniques, it isn’t hard to see how reflexology can have an effect throughout the entire body.

“
The structure of the foot forms our base and foundation. A strong foundation relies on correct alignment and joint function, any impairment to the functions will displace the centre of gravity. Other areas of the body will overcompensate. Just as dis-eased feet can cause problems around the body, dis-ease in the body can reflect in the feet.
